NEW YORK, NY -- International capital group 3i announced the formation of its US Growth Capital private equity group. The group will be based in New York and will invest in a variety of sectors, including media, business services, technology and consumer, energy and healthcare. Nine individuals have already been appointed, with an additional five expected join in 2007. Founding partners are Robin Marshall, Whitney Bower and Ken Hanau. 3i is publicly held.
